Parks


The town operates six (6) parks in and around the Town of Bluffton. They include: DuBois Park, Oyster Factory Park, the Rotary Community Center, Pritchard Pocket Park, Tom Herbkersman Commons and New River Trail. Please see the following for amenities offered by each park:

  • DuBois Park: playground, open air pavilion, picnic tables, restrooms, benches, open lawn area
  • Oyster Factory Park: boat ramp access to the May River, open air pavilion, picnic tables, restrooms, fire/oyster roast pit, view of the May River
  • Rotary Community Center: enclosed, air-conditioned space with large wrap-around porch and full-service kitchen, tables, restrooms, open lawn area
  • Pritchard Pocket Park: view of the May River, benches
  • Tom Herbkersman Commons: benches, brick inlay map of Old Town
  • New River Trail: linear recreational trail for walking or running

In addition to the activities listed above visitors and residents of the Town can fish and boat from the Calhoun Street Dock located at the end of Calhoun Street on the May River.

The Town has improved several of the parks including Tom Herbkersman Commons, DuBois Park and Oyster Factory Park through its Capital Improvement Projects Program.

Park hours are dawn to dusk, unless an events permit has been issued.

Smoking is prohibited at DuBois Park.
